Makenna is a first year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology program. She graduated from the College of William & Mary with a BS in Neuroscience. While there, she used electroencephalography (EEG) to study the effects of aging on visuo-spatial sequence memory. Additional research projects conducted at William & Mary include computational modeling of neurodegenerative disease and a study of mental health of undergraduates during the Covid-19 pandemic, which was recently submitted for publication. Makenna’s current research focuses on memory outcomes and neuroimaging markers of chronic traumatic brain injury in older adult populations. She is a member of the Psychology Graduate Student Diversity Committee.
